Entrepreneur explains how he turned €3,000 into more than a million for his start-up in just 18 months in the first of two interviews.
Four European entrepreneurs put €3,000, all they had, into their digital start-up which rents out long-term accommodation to students and professionals. Just 18 months later, they had secured €1.1 million in funding, and had grown from seven employees to 100, from a handful of properties to more than 4,000 across the EU.

European digital companies can take on those in the United States and Asia, but only if there is fair competition for new market entrants with bigger firms, Gianpiero Lotito believes.
